The Halifax Rättvik Trio was nominated for the Folk Music Award of the Year in the Dalecarlia Music Awards! Congratulations to our fellow nominees as well!

Workshops in Nova Scotia: Stefan visited Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada to help Jennifer lead three educational events at the Halifax Institute of Traditional and Early Music Oct. 19, 20, and 27, 2024. A Swedish tune workshop, an instrument makers’ panel, and a presentation and workshop on Swedish Baroque music.

Dec. 1, 2023: Workshop Day and Concert, Dalarna, Sweden
We spent the day teaching traditional Québecois song, dance, and podorythmie (foot percussion) from Canada to the wonderful music college students at Sjöviks Folkhögskola.

In the evening we performed a half concert, with the students taking the other half, at Humlebackens Kulturhus, a beautiful venue run by Kerstin Sonnbäck. Read more about our workshop activities here.
